How To Hire A Private Lifeguard

We’ve made it our mission to prevent drownings through our water safety services like private swim lessons, CPR and First Aid training, and lifeguarding.

Drownings occur most often at residential pools and they are SWIFT and SILENT – you won’t hear a call for help.

Our combination of services was formed to fight against just that and to keep everyone safe and water competent.

So if you’re having an upcoming pool party, we urge you to hire a lifeguard. That way you can sit back, relax and enjoy the party and let us provide supervision, first aid, and rescue if needed.

Here’s how easy it is to book:

  1. Visit our Booking and Appointments page.
  2. Choose our ‘Hire A Lifeguard’ service (minimum of 2 hours)
  3. Click and choose the date and time of your event
  4. Fill in your information
  5. Confirm your reservation!

What Should I Look For When Hiring A Lifeguard?

There are a few things you want to consider when hiring a lifeguard. Obviously, you want to find someone who is actually trained and certified.

Make sure lifeguards are certified and trained in:

  • Lifeguarding
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Professionalism
  • Infant and Toddler Water Safety

Make sure of is that they have their own equipment (rescue tube and first aid kit, for example).

You also want to make sure lifeguards arriving at your home have liability insurance.

What Happens After I Book?

After booking online with us, which takes just a few minutes to do, you will receive a confirmation email for the dates requested.

We’ll follow up shortly after with a text or email letting you know we received your request.

We’ll arrange a lifeguard for your custom request and follow up in 2 to 3 business days.

Please note:

  • There is a rush fee of $30 if the event is less than 72 hours prior to registering.
  • Cancellations must be made 7 days in advance of the service date for a full refund; 48 hours for half refund; 24 hours will not receive a refund.
  • Full payment is required to secure the scheduling of lifeguard staff. We will invoice you once we confirm your lifeguard.

What Is The Cost and How Many Lifeguards Will I Need?

There is no registration fee. 1 Lifeguard to every 20 swimmers ratio and a minimum of 2 hours is required.

Not located in the San Diego or Temecula area? Check with your local swim facility. Some may allow you to host a party at their location, for a fee, and will provide a lifeguard for the duration of your party.
